Two cases of bank frauds come to light

A city resident filed a case of fraud to the tune of Rs. 28.45 lakhs against four people who allegedly withdrew the said amount from his account by forging his signatures on the cheque.

The accused are now in hiding. The complainant is one Jasbir Singh Bhogal  and the names of the four accused are Brajpal, Narinder Kumar, Manoj Kamboj and Jatinder Jogi. All the accused are from Karnal while the complainant belongs to Haibowal and is an advocate by profession. The bank account was from Punjab and Sind bank.

The police said that a case has been registered under  IPC ,section 420(fraud), and Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy and that a team will be sent to Karnal to find out the whereabouts of the accused.

In another case of the same nature, a woman lost Rs 1.47 lakhs when money was withdrawn from her bank account by fraudulent means.

The name of the victim is Ms Amita Rani . Her son had withdrawn a certain sum from her bank ATM and right after he left the ATM the remaining balance in both accounts was also withdrawn

The CCTV footage saw two unidentified men placing an object near the cash slot right after her ATM transactions were carried out and the lady suspects her account information was copied on the device by the miscreants.
