Indian Overseas Bank was founded in 10 February 1937 at Madras, during the British ruling period. Black money worth Rs 13000 Cr unearthed the accounts from overseas bank

New Delhi:  The authorities of income tax has chanced upon Rs 13000 Cr of black money by just looking at the records of 2011 and 2013. The officers go the the information about two sets. Thus one can safely say that the new govt crack down on those having stashes of undisclosed income in overseas  banks  has started to yield results. In the year 2011 the  French government received the Indians secure deposits in HSBC,Geneva counted as 400 cases. There were also cases where some account holders are not traced. In 398 cases  the  estimations are completed and the government taking action on them. These cases include those that have been settled with the IT Commission as well as the account holders where proceedings of assessment have been discarded.

According to the information in the year 2013 provided by the  ICIJ, the international consortium of investigative journalists website got the another set of records. The authorities of income tax found the 700 accounts belonging to Indians having undisclosed information of 5000 Cr.
