Sri Lankan Stocks fall down on profit

Bank of Ceylon - Sri Lanka stocks

Investors stood forewarned of the govt. policy statement which will come out next month.  The Sri Lankan shares closed at a weaker point on Monday in comparison to the more than three week closing high hit in the earlier session. Srilankan govt. raised $1.5 billion in its first sale of dual tranche eurobonds last week which led to a boost in investor sentiment  and a three week high was seen last Friday. The head of research First Capital Equities said not much took place perhaps the investors were waiting for the policy statement to be issued by the PM.
